things aren't always as they seem

Texas Fish & Game, October 2011

I love it when my hubby’s fishing magazines arrive. I just read them for the headlines. Really.

And here they are, the cover headlines for Texas Fish & Game magazine, October 2011 issue; Inland Edition, as usual.

The Wings of Autumn (I thought Autumn had leaves.)

Rut Interruptions (I do hope they are polite about it.)

Floats For Founder (Are they getting ready for a parade?)

Ted Nugent: Get The Jump On String Jumpers (Does Ted play his bass for the bass?)

Bass: Go Deep And Stay Wacky (Is this a new football strategy?)

Take the TF&G Bowhunting Quiz (You know by now that I know nothing about any of their quiz subjects.)
