On Sunday I travelled to Houston. I filled up my SUV before hitting the road, paying $4.029 per gallon for premium gasoline. On the way back, I filled up in Houston for $3.979 per gallon for premium.
Here’s a photograph of what I wish I had paid. But the price displayed is always for regular, so at this price structure, premium would have been $0.049 per gallon (or so). Didn’t happen. I don’t know why all these zeroes showed up in the posted price for December 27, 2010 in Buda, Texas. It was the same set of zeroes on both sides of the display. I checked the gas pump, however, and it was not $0.009, it was $2.799 per gallon. Rats!
