An Optimist

An optimist. Michael Wazowski from Monsters, Inc. was definitely an optimist. Not that he didn’t have some bleak moments in the movie, he certainly did.

(If you Google Michael Wazowski, you get results that look like they belong to real people. Wonder how their lives have been since the movie. And they get to look forward to the sequel, Monsters, Inc. 2, scheduled for late 2012.)

The green, one-eyed Mike chose to be an optimist. First, he and Sully are on a TV commercial. Mike is obscured by the Monsters, Inc. logo. His reaction? He is ecstatic. “I was on TV. Ha. Did you see me? I’m a natural.

Second, he was on the cover of a magazine, obscured this time by the bar code. Happy monster! “I’m on the cover of a magazine!”

That Celia Mae is one lucky monster to have an optimist for a Googly Bear boyfriend. I’m looking forward to the sequel.
